acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL)

On April 5, 2019, my life changed forever. What started as a simple ER visit for some light chest pain turned into a two-and-a-half-year battle with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). During treatment, I had many ups and downs but pushed myself through online courses at my university.

In September 2017, our world crashed when I was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Over the next several years, I experienced numerous chemotherapy sessions, radiation treatments, a stem cell transplant, many side effects, infections, and another cancer.

acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL)

Although I was a cancer patient many years ago, survivorship is a journey I take every day. Ever since my diagnosis, I’ve spent my free time engaging with the childhood cancer community and learning more about myself.

On April 16, 2022, I brought my son Ezekiel "Zeke" to a sick appointment because of leg pain, stomach pain, and a fever over the last few days. We were sent for some additional testing (bloodwork and an X-ray of his stomach area).

Noah was diagnosed with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) on January 20, 2021. He was just six years old. We noticed Noah had a lot of bruising, dark circles under his eyes, his skin became very pale in color, and he was very fatigued.

Philadelphia positive B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (Ph-positive ALL)

I started noticing some things were "off" with my body. In early August 2022, my daughters noticed several large, unexplained bruises on my legs. I just brushed them off as being clumsy or running into something.

B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL)

I would like to introduce everyone to my little warrior, Hunter. When he was just four years old, he had an enlarged stomach that just kept getting bigger and bigger with no answers as to why.

T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL)

I am writing to share about my son, Aiden, who is our real superhero and has superpowers that shine bright through his love of dance. From a very young age, we considered Aiden to be our gifted child. He has a free spirit and loves to connect with the world and others in it. His parents have taught him to "dream big" and "reach for the stars" and he can do whatever he puts his mind to.
