In February 2018, my youngest twin (by three minutes), Jeremiah was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Our world and lives were turned upside down, to say the least.

As a single mother, I never felt or experienced pain like this in my entire life. It felt like everything was crashing around me. Jeremiah began treatment with chemotherapy at the Children’s Hospital.

At the age of four, he opened my eyes to how strong he really was. He took his medicine and chemo like a champ. I was blown away by his strength and courage. Even to this day, I'm amazed by Jeremiah. He never fussed or cried about taking his medication. He just did it. His bravery made me brave.

After 3.5 years of this battle with cancer, he's now cancer-free. I'm so happy for my son. We are still dealing with chemo-related issues but he's strong and healed. He’s so inspirational. I'm so blessed to have an amazing strong-willed son.
