Beth E. Hawley became involved with LLS after a friend's young daughter was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin lymphoblastic lymphoma nine years ago. She currently serves as chief customer experience officer for Cogent HMG, the nation's largest privately-held hospitalist company, where she oversees performance, value, innovation, reporting and marketing. She is co-author of theGreeno-Hawley Hospital Medicine IndexTM, the first objective tool designed to measure the capabilities of a hospitalist program. Hawley holds a bacehlor's of science degree from Drexel University, a master of business administration from Eastern University, a certificate in occupational therapy from the University of Pennsylvania and a green belt in six-sigma certification from Villanova University. She serves on the Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM) Practice Analysis Committee. Hawley is a fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and a member of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA). Term ends: 2015.
