I’m a mother of two diagnosed with multiple myeloma (MM) in May 2022. I'm still terrified and haven't come to an understanding of how I got this type of cancer. My grandmother and aunt passed away from colon and bladder cancer years ago. I don't have support from my family, which has been very difficult for me. I worry about my boys a lot, who are 17 and 15. I'm burned out all the time mentally, emotionally, and physically. How does one find the strength to go on? My faith in God tells me every day not to give up, yet, I've been through so much already before my cancer. I have a few friends who understand where I'm coming from, and that means a lot to me.
