large granular lymphocytic leukemia (LGL)

I have large granular lymphocytic leukemia (LGL), 12 years in remission. I wanted to share this poem I wrote as a message of hope for those who may be suffering with leukemia.

My Blessing!

This is my season to get my blessing! This blessing took a long time in coming. There were

so many obstacles standing in my way, but I conquered them. So many mountains in front of me that I could not climb and it

made me feel like I could not go any further, but I was able to climb them and look at me now.

So many things kept coming from the left and from the right that did not make any sense. Sometimes I felt like I was in hell with everything going on. I have been through so much, but you always brought me through.

When the devil deals with me, he keeps trying to find ways to stop me, so that I don’t get my blessing, but my faith keeps pushing me forward.

God said, “Faith is the substance of things hoped for.”

God said, “He will open up the windows of heaven and pour me out a blessing.”

So, therefore, I am naming and claiming my blessing. This may be your season but this

is also my season to get my blessing.

God said, “He never makes promises that do not come true.”

God is not like man that He should lie. God stands on his word.

And since He stands on his word, I am going to get my blessing!

Amen
