White Plains, N.Y. (May 15, 2014) - Francie Heller, managing partner at Heller Advisory, has been elected to the national board of directors of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), effective July 1, 2014.  Her term will run through June 30, 2017.

Heller has more than two decades of financial experience in both the public and private sectors.  Heller has served as managing director at Houlihan Lokey, where she ran the pension, endowment and foundation advisory group.  Prior to that, Heller was a managing director at Chilton Investment Company.  Before Chilton, she served as senior managing director at Bear Stearns & Co., Inc., and president of MBIA Municipal Investors Service Corporation.  Heller was also an education director in the New York City public schools for several years.

Heller earned a bachelor's degree from Boston University, a master's equivalent degree from the University of Georgia, and a professional diploma from Fordham University.  She currently serves on several boards, as chairman of the investment committee for Furman University, and on the LLS investment committee. In addition, Heller is an advisor to the Government Finance Officer Association?s committee on retirement and benefits administration
