Communities Nationwide Are Stepping Up to Help Patients Live Longer Better Lives

WASHINGTON, February 20, 2025 – The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS)’s fundraising event, Big Climb officially kicks off nationwide on February 26 and will be bringing thousands of fundraisers and volunteers to the top of iconic buildings across the country to help move forward LLS’s mission to cure blood cancer and improve the quality of life of all patients and their families.

From Boston to Houston to Seattle, communities will be climbing iconic buildings and arenas all over the country to give blood cancer patients, survivors, and families the support they need at every step of a diagnosis. Participants also have the option join LLS’s nationwide virtual climb on May 10 from anywhere and show up for blood cancer patients right in their own neighborhood.

This year’s national Honored Hero, acute myeloid leukemia survivor, Tristan, of Boston, MA, will be participating in the Boston Big Climb and serves as a beacon of hope and inspiration for the blood cancer community across the U.S. Read his full incredible survivorship story here.
