Target Audience
This activity is intended for hematologist/oncologists, oncology nurses, physician assistants, social workers, and other healthcare professionals involved in the care of patients with myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs).
Learning Objectives
After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:
- Provide an overview of MPNs
- Apply diagnostic criteria for a correct diagnosis and grade
- Explain low risk symptomatic myelofibrosis, intermediate, and high-risk primary or secondary, including genetic mutations, and risk stratification
- Apply data on approved treatments and clinical trials into clinical practice
- Implement strategies to educate and support patients

Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE provider approval period: 12/10/2023-12/10/2026. Social workers completing this course receive 1.0 clinical continuing education credit.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is recognized by the New York State Education Departments State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers #SW-0117.
