Indications and Usage
Mercaptopurine is FDA approved to treat people who have acute lymphoblastic leukemia as part of a combination regimen.
Side effects needing medical attention
Fever, chills or sore throat; unusual bleeding or bruising; unusual tiredness or weakness; yellowing of eyes and skin; loss of appetite; side or stomach pain; joint pain; nausea and vomiting; swelling of feet or lower legs; black, tarry stools; sores in mouth or on lips.
Side effects needing medical attention after stopping this medication
