Walgreens helps raise more than $6 million for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and Susan G. Komen to Advance Cancer Research and Increase Access to Care

Walgreens raises more than $6 million through their annual spring fundraiser with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Susan G. Komen. During this multi-year partnership, Walgreens pledges to donate more than $25 million by 2024 to advance research for tough-to-treat cancers and increase equitable access to care.

Adolescent & Young Adult Cancer Awareness Week: Free Support & Financial Resources from The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for Blood Cancer Patients, Survivors, Families & Caregivers

Here at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), we hear every day from blood cancer patients, families, and caregivers of all ages and from all walks of life. As we recognize Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Awareness Week, LLS knows that a cancer diagnosis can bring plans to a screeching halt. We provide a variety of free support and resources to help patients and their families no matter where they are in their cancer experience. 

LLS advocates helped North Carolina expand Medicaid

North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper just signed Medicaid expansion into law, following years of advocacy from LLS volunteers and staff. 

Once it takes effect, the bipartisan deal will make 600,000+ North Carolinians newly eligible for lifesaving care, including cancer screenings and treatment. 

Researchers Share Key Career Advice with LLS College Club Members

LLS Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Gwen Nichols, had the privilege of moderating an LLS on Campus Researcher Panel attended by LLS college club members from nearly 30 universities across the country. These clubs bring together students interested in pursuing health-related careers and provide opportunities to hear from scientists working to better understand and treat blood cancers
