Financial Transparency & Independence

Financial Transparency & Independence

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) invests hundreds of millions of dollars each year toward our mission to cure all forms of blood cancer and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. We fund lifesaving blood cancer research around the world, provide free information and support services, and advocate on behalf of – and with – blood cancer patients and their families for meaningful policy changes.

We raise our money through peer-to-peer fundraising events, individual donors, and corporate partners. Our corporate partners include pharmaceutical, medical device and insurance companies.

Our policies – followed by all of LLS including our Regions – ensure we maintain the highest standards of compliance and transparency regarding the support we receive. We only accept industry funding that is free of influence over the content, format or delivery of our programs across mission and fundraising.

We remain fiercely independent in our pursuit of public policies, preparation of educational and support materials, and investments in scientific research to serve the best interests of blood cancer patients.

We also are committed to transparency. Our Annual Report, which is available online and distributed to supporters, includes a complete and independently audited financial disclosure each year, including a list of all donations.
