Target Audience

This activity is intended for hematologist/oncologists, nurses, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals who manage patients with hematologic malignancies.



The goal of this activity is for learners to be better able to recognize healthcare disparities and their multifactorial etiologies, implement team-based strategies, and identify resources that proactively address barriers associated with disparities in care and health outcomes.


Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the health disparities in hematologic malignancies
  • Have greater competence related to strategies that may be used to address barriers to optimal care and outcomes in diverse patient populations with hematologic malignancies
  • Demonstrate greater confidence in their ability to provide interprofessional care for racially and ethnically diverse patients with hematologic malignancies
