Description

This webinar will provide a more in-depth overview of blood cancers. Pertinent information to be discussed will include the role of genomics and molecular profiling in the diagnosis, prognostication, treatment, and monitoring of patients with hematologic malignancies. The program will also explore the various treatment modalities available for blood cancer patients including clinical trials. Discussion of the psychosocial impact of the disease with the inclusion of resources for patient and caregiver education and support will be provided to aid the multidisciplinary healthcare team in providing relevant, scientific, and holistic care to the blood cancer patient and caregiver.

Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, participants should be better able to:

• Explain the role of genomics and molecular profiling in the diagnosis, prognostication, treatment, and monitoring of blood cancer.
• Describe the psychosocial impact of different blood cancer diagnoses.
• Explore treatment options for blood cancer patients including precision medicine, cellular therapy, and clinical trials.
• List resources for patients with blood cancers and how to access them.
