chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML)

I was diagnosed with chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML) in October 2019, at the age of 57. After experiencing months of symptoms such as severe fatigue, bruising easily, and shortness of breath. My PCP decided to do some extensive lab work, she told me her suspicion.
From there she referred me to an oncologist, who performed a bone marrow biopsy, and the diagnosis was confirmed.

Never, would I've dreamed that the diagnosis would be a blood cancer.

I am categorized as "low risk" and am currently under the "watch and wait" phase with twice-a-year lab work.

I have good days and bad days, however, my faith in God is strong, and I'm optimistic about the future. Taking one day at a time!
